DR Congo’s President Kabila denounces ‘foreign interference’, promises vote

Congolese President Joseph Kabila, has broken his silence over the political turmoil rocking his country.

In a televised address to the nation, Kabila has warned against what he termed as foreign interference in the country’s political crisis.

Kabila appeared to be reacting to remarks by some United Nations Security Council diplomats, who visited Congo at the weekend to push for a peaceful transition of power.
