At least $251 million needed to mitigate South Sudan crisis

The United Nations says it has received only a fraction of the funding it needs for humanitarian assistance in South Sudan.

This is impeding efforts to help millions of people in desperate need of food, water, clothing and housing.  The Juba government has promised to improve the security situation, to allow those displaced by the violence to return home.
