Ethiopians happy with new gov’t but want changes sooner

People in Ethiopia are obviously excited with the new cabinet formed. They say its time to see some practical changes across the country.

“Its a good thing that we have seen a new cabinet.It was ignoring the people’s need that brought the recently seen chaos in our country.Now that The changes were made by the government understanding the root causes and is trying also to fix issues of good governance by appointing efficient leaders is entirely exciting.” aid Belachew Abebe, Ethiopian

Problems of governance,resource mismanagement and political and economic inequality continue to be challenges for Ethiopia. The new Communication Affairs Minister Negeri Lencho admits its now up to the nation’s new leaders to to work things around.

“These days Ethiopia is in a transformation and there are challenges and opportunities and I think to grab this opportunity and lead the nation to a better prosperity and also build democracy and serve the people as a whole …The engine should be I think the leader and I think it’s a good beginning.” said Negeri Lencho, newly appointed Minister of Communication

Despite current challenges Ethiopia remains to be one of the fastest growing nations in Africa and the world.The nation aspires to be the hub of manufacturing industries in the continent and has built roads and rails ways to assist the dream come true.

Everyone on the streets of Addis wants the new leadership to go straight to work.There won’t be anytime to waste and the challenge is by no means easy either. But one thing is clear the government needs the people’s support now more than ever to continue transforming Ethiopia and finally re-unite the divided hearts and minds.
