Kenya’s squad for AWCON named

Harambee Starlet’s coach David Ouma has named his squad for the upcoming African Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON) to be held in Cameroon.

Ouma named a team of 21 players for the continental showpiece set to be played from 19th November to 3rd December.

The team will leave Kenya for the Central African country on Friday.

The team will have to make do without the services of former skipper Neddy Atieno who joined the military, as well as Mwahalima Dogo who is sitting for her final exams.

The East African country is drawn in a tough pool that comprises the defending champions Nigeria, Ghana and Mali.

Here is the full list of players;

Keepers: Samantha Akinyi, Vivian Akinyi, Onyango Lilian Awour

Defenders: Elizabeth Ambogo Mwikali, Wendy Achieng, Ogutu Irene, Dorcas Shikobe, Ogiro Doris Anyango, Lilian Adera Odaa, Anne Alouch

Midfielders: Carolyne Omondi Anyango, Salano Cheris Avilia, Corazone Vivian Aquino, Ogol Jacky, Christine Nafula, Lydia Akoth

Attackers: Bundi Janet Moraa, Mary Kinuthia, Mbeyu Esse Akida,Jepkirui Sharon Bushenei, Mercy Acheing Onyango
