Former child soldier’s plea for cash tests Liberia’s forgiveness

A former Liberian warlord has made an unusual plea. He is asking for thousands of dollars to build a rehabilitation center for former child soldiers.

The centre is meant to empower victims of war and give them a chance at a better life. However his move has elicited much debate in a country where youth unemployment is a major threat to peace and security.
