The 16th of October is World Food Day.
It is a day when communities, governments, civil society organisations and businesses declare their commitment to eradicating hunger. It also marks the founding of the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organisation in 1945. In South Africa, urban farming is taking off in some of the major cities, making sure nobody goes hungry.
