Nigeria’s President Buhari vows to work towards getting the remaining girls released

Read < 1 minute

Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has vowed that his government will continue to work for the release of the remaining Chibok school girls kidnapped by Boko Haram.

21 of the girls were freed on Thursday. Their release came after the International Red Cross and the Swiss government brokered a deal with Boko Haram. Nigeria’s government has denied that they had swapped Boko Haram fighters in exchange for the girls’ release.

Around 197 of the girls remain in captive.
