Breast Cancer is a lethal disease that the world is trying to rid of, that’s why October has been dedicated as the breast cancer month, no wonder the harsh tag trending online #NoBraDay. The harsh tag might be misunderstood by some, especially the men that hope to see some fine breasts, but the idea behind it is to create breast cancer awareness.

Even as numbers of deaths related to breast cancer continue to decrease, experts are researching why ‘ 20% of women who are treated and declared breast cancer-free by their doctors develop breast cancer five to 25 years later’ according to USA Today.

Detection of breast cancer in early stages, through frequent check-ups to detect any lumps or breast mass that usually end up being cancerous, is the best chance of getting effective treatment. This disease is no longer restricted to women only, but men as well, in addition it is not only for 50 year olds and above but across the age group.

With the cost of accessing treatment for breast being high it is better to be safe by constantly having check-ups which involved feeling the breasts for any lump or swelling, any discharge and rash around the nipple.

Africans online have been responded greatly to #NoBraDay trend, some understanding the serious and others find the lighter side of the issue. Here are some tweets
