Nigeria’s Victor Moses receives praise from Chelsea manager Antonio Conte
English football club Chelsea’s Nigerian forward Victor Moses has received immense praise from his new manager Antonio Conte for his tactical flexibility following Sunday’s 2-0 win over Hull City.
The Italian tactician said Moses would easily fit the wing-back role for Chelsea.
Conte deployed a new defensive formation against Hull City following his club’s defensive errors in the games prior to their visit to the KC stadium.
Moses was used as a wingback in the game, and so was Marcos Alonso.
That was the Nigerian’s first start for Chelsea this season, and is hailed to have provided defensive solidarity as well as an attacking threat.
“Moses played an incredible game in defensive and offensive situations. It is fantastic because he is working very hard. He deserved to play and he showed me that my choice was right,” Conte told the club website (www.chelseafc.com).
Moses has spent the past three seasons on loan at Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham United, but looks to have found favour under new manager Antonio Conte’s reign.
