USA v Ghana: 2010 FIFA World Cup - Round of Sixteen

Ghana’s captain Asamoah Gyan is on the verge of returning to English football, with Championship club Reading reportedly working to sign the 30-year-old on a season long loan deal.

Gyan currently plies his trade in the Chinese Super League, playing for Shanghai SIPG.

The Ghanaian played for Sunderland for two years from 2010, scoring 10 Premier League goals in the spell before he moved to Al-Ain in the United Arab Emirates.

Reading confirmer their interest in the player, saying he was in Berkshire for a medical, with his move to the club expected to be completed in the next 48 hours.
