Zambia’s President Edgar Lungu plans to re- introduce a Ministry of Religious Affairs in the country.

President Lungu made the announcement Sunday when he attended a church service ast St Andrews United Church of Zambia.

According to Zambia Reports online newspaper, the Ministry existed during the late President Frederick Chiluba and never conclusively got approved by the entire population.

President Lungu said the re-introduction of the Religious Affairs Ministry will be to re-affirm Chiluba’s declaration of Zambia as a Christian nation.
