South Africans on Twitter condemn skin bleaching

South Africans have come together to sensitize the country’s populations against skin bleaching.

Hundreds of South Africans took to the streets of Durban to march against the practice, as thousands took the sensitization campaign to social media.

The march was organized by the University of KwaZulu-Natal and the Department of Health.

The organizers are aiming to promote “self-love” among the country’s youth, who according to researchers are at a high risk of getting into the practice of lightening their skins.
