The US sports-entertainment giant World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) said it hopes up-and-coming wrestler Bin Wang will help increase WWE’s footprint in China. This month, the 22-year-old became the first Chinese national to strike a deal with World Wrestling Entertainment.

As CCTV’s Steve Mort reports, Wang is now training at his new home in Florida.

Wang is already getting a crash course in being in the spotlight, while at the same time having to adjust to life in the United States.

WWE – a billion-dollar entertainment giant – recently announced it would stream its Raw and Smack-down productions in Mandarin for Chinese audiences.

And like Yao Ming, not only is Bin Wang set to perform on a global stage, he’s carrying with him the hopes China’s growing number of wrestling fans.
