Ethiopian athlete Genzebe Dibaba’s coach has been arrested by Spanish police as part of an investigation into drug trafficking.
Coach Jama Aden was arrested in a hotel in the Catalonian town of Sabadell. The hotel is said to be occupied by a group of athletes coached by the coach.
Genzebe Dibaba is the current world 1500m champion.
Sources say that officials of the Spanish Anti-Doping Agency were also present to carry out doping controls on some athletes.
