The UAE Embassy in Senegal has distributed food parcels in Cape Verde. The assistance is funded by the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, the Emirates Red Crescent, and the Dubai Charity Association.
The Emirates Red Crescent has dispatched nine tonnes of dates donated by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The distribution process was attended by the embassy’s representative, members of Muslim communities in Cape Verde’s capital, Praia, and a number of mosques’ Imams. The aid was distributed to the poorest areas in Praia.
Representatives of charitable organisations extended their thanks to the UAE for the generous gesture and provision of aid to underprivileged people.
