Somali leaders have finally agreed on the electoral model to be used in the upcoming elections in August .
The agreement also saw leaders reject an extension of the term of the current administration beyond its mandate.
Leaders were meeting at a two days national consultative forum in Mogadishu, to try and solve existing disagreements before elections take place.
Representatives from the African Union and other international partners hailed the progress, describing it as a major milestone in achieving democracy
