EgyptAir Maintenance and Engineering Company announced on Thursday that it has successfully passed an inspection by the European Union’s main agency for aviation safety for the tenth year running.
In passing its inspection by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), the company was awarded the EASA Certificate of Airworthiness (CofA).
The agency conducted the inspection at EgyptAir’s headquarters in the airports of Cairo, Marsa Alam and Luxor.
The chairman of Egypt Air Holding Company, Safwat Mesallam, participated in the closing session on Thursday, announcing the results of EASA’s final report.
EASA is affiliated with the European Union and is concerned with aviation safety in Europe.
The agency inspects the maintenance procedures of airlines to ensure their commitment to technical requirements and international standards.
