FIFA President Gianni Infantino celebrates birthday in South Sudan
FIFA’s new President Gianni Infantino is in South Sudan on his first International trip since taking over as the head of the world football organization last month.
This trip also coincides with his birthday, and he shall be celebrating it by watching the world youngest nation play against Benin in an African Cup of Nations’ qualifier.
Infantino arrived in Juba today morning, where he opened the office of the South Sudanese Football Association.
The FIFA chief is expected to meet South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir later before attending the country’s AFCON qualifier duel against Benin.
South Sudanese officials dressed Infantino in traditional regalia and made him dance.
The FIFA president was also presented with a cake by his hosts to celebrate his 46th birthday.
