Africa searches for the next Einstein in Sierra Leone

There’s a worrying trend in Africa when it comes to the continent’s talented young people.

Instead of staying in their countries, African mathematicians and scientists are instead working and studying abroad.

A conference in Sierra Leone is trying to address the issue – and end the continent’s brain drain while also encouraging governments to better provide for the continent’s brightest.

The continent’s scientists and engineers also discussed vaccines – and several other innovative projects too.
