Egypt exports double-decker buses to UK: Minister

For the first time, Egypt has allocated a vehicle manufacturing line to produce British double-decker buses for the British market. The line is expected to produce a total of 60 buses annually.

“Launching a direct line of car manufacturing for export….shows trust in Egyptian industry,” said Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry Tarek kabil.

His comments came during a tour to industrial complexes in cities of New Salahia in Sharqia Governorate and Obour City in Dakahlia governorate.

The company produces between 8,000 to 10,000 tourism, double-decker, and public buses for export to markets of England, Australia, New Zealand, and Hong Kong annually.

Qabil also inaugurated two other factories export goods; the cost of the three factories are estimated at 7 billion EGP ($127.9 million), providing a total of 7,650 job opportunities, the minister continued.
