Egypt’s defense minister, US military official talk security partnership

Egypt’s Defense Minister Sedki Sobhi met with Marine Corps Gen. Joseph F. Dunford, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in Cairo Saturday, the U.S. Defense Department announced.

During the meeting, Dunford affirmed his intent to “deepen the bilateral relationship between the two countries. Fighting terrorism was among issues the leaders have discussed.” The meeting was attended by Egyptian Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Mahmoud Hegazy.
