The United States has denied the allegations that a U.S drone crashed in South Western Somalia on Monday and was confiscated by the Al Shabaab militia reports the VOA

According to the Al Shabaab, it recovered a drone carrying six missiles when a US drone crashed in a rebel held village called Shan – da’ar in the Gedo region, Somalia. While speaking to a local radio, the militants claimed to have taken the drone to a safe location.

“All AFRICOM assets in this area are accounted for and we have no indication any were involved in this reported incident.” Said the Pentagon spokesperson to the VOA

The Somalia government has not confirmed any of these allegations

America’s military has attacked Somalia with numerous drones over the past several years.
