Officials from Somalia and United Nations (UN) have met in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, to address the country’s financial integrity and state building.

The session was attended by key players in the financial industry as well as international experts.

The UN feels that Somalia is on the right path, but called on Somali authorities to prioritize economic development.
The world organization is leading the efforts in the country to revive and rebuild state institutions. It does this through training and international experts.

The country’s economic system was not stable for the past two decades, but with an improvement in security and increasing investment, authorities here are optimistic on reviving the country’s economy.
