Nigerian military arrests man suspected to be behind insurgent videos
Nigeria’s military says it has arrested the man behind the numerous online Boko Haram videos. Boko Haram has heavily used videos distributed through you tube to spreads its propaganda and respond to governments in the region.
The military says Abdullahi Abubakar Sadiq was arrested in the town of Uba, in Nigeria’s northwestern Borno state.
He was number 58 out of 100 on the most wanted Bokoharam list Nigerian military distributed recently.
Pictures of him with a camera was and one showing in military custody was circulated on social media by the military.
Suspect number 100 on the list is the group’s leader, Abubakar Shekau.
Two other suspected Boko Haram terrorists were arrested with him.
