China pledges to strengthen military cooperation with Mali
China has pledged to strengthen military cooperation with Mali.
The vice chairman of China’s Central Military Commission Fan Changlong met with Mali’s Defense Minister Tieman Coulibaly in Beinjing on Thursday and pledged to increase the two countries’ military cooperation.
Fan said that China considered Mali as a close partner and friend in Africa, citing cooperation in international affair over the years.
Fan assured the Malian minister that China is willing to play a positive role in promoting peace and stability in the African country.
Coulibaly thanked China for its long term assistance to Mali.
He encouraged the two countries to promote military ties and further strengthen pragmatic cooperation in various fields including peacekeeping operations and personnel training.
