As the technology develops to see behind walls, we may be about to discover hidden wonders in the pyramids of Egypt, secret chambers, concealed passageways and, as it turns out, ‘hot’ stones! Infrared thermography has revealed a fascinating ‘anomaly’ at Giza.

The Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities has announced the preliminary results of its ScanPyramids project. They suggest an anomaly in the Great Pyramid of Khufu, which could unfold some ancient secrets.

Through infrared thermography and non-invasive cosmic rays, the two-week research found three ‘hot’ stones on the eastern side of the Khufu pyramid in Giza, one of the largest pyramids in Egypt and over 4,500 years old.

Archaeologists are of course a thirst to know the reason behind these thermal differences.
