Tanzania Elections: Observers hail smooth vote, call for peace after results

Well, the election was conducted peacefully in most areas despite fears that crowds would clash with police near polling stations.

The European Union’s Chief Observer told CCTV that people had acted calmly and the majority of polling stations opened on time.
