More than 80 million Nigerians online making half of the country internet literate.
There is a huge number of Nigerians using the internet to foster their business with e-commerce picking up with high number of internet users
With the urban centers having more people than the rural areas, accessing a good internet connection in not easy
“They’re not readily available in some parts of the country, you can go to somewhere like Taraba state and you can’t find Smile or any other of the 4G providers in those kind of states so I have to rely on the regular 3G providers, that’s the regular GSM providers for my data and my internet. Another reason is that the 4G providers are a lot more expensive than the 3G providers so you find that your running costs are way higher than what they’re supposed to be. So for these reasons I’ve just decided to stick with them and even though they’re not as reliable as you’ll like we have to make do with what we have.” Said Chinyere Joe, a food business owner

A reduction in 4G devices cost will enable more people to accesss better internet

With more business entering the market to provide 4G technology the competition will lead to a decrease in pricing
