Super Eagles to play friendly matches abroad
The Nigerian Super Eagles are in Belgium for a number of friendly matches ahead of their upcoming Africa nation’s cup and world cup qualifiers. But questions are being asked as to why these friendly matches are taking place in Europe.
With four points from two games, Nigeria sits in second position in its group for the AFCON 2017 qualifiers while Egypt tops the group with six points also from two games. The winner of the group automatically qualifies for the tournament.
Nigeria would need to pick at least four points in the double header against Egypt in March if it hopes to be in the driving seat of the group. CCTV’s Deji Badmus reports.
