The first signs of the El nino climate phenomenon seem to be showing in Kenya. The last El nino recorded in Kenya was in 1997-1998 and it brought with it the most destructive spell of rain in the country’s history.

Kenya’s government is however working to ensure that it is not caught flat footed this time around.
