A Kenyan college student allegedly committed suicide after a foreigner lured her through Facebook and assaulted her, her family has revealed.
The girl, 19, left a suicide note naming a man and gave details of where he assaulted her and also explained why she took her life.
The college student had joined a Facebook page called ‘Love beyond Skin Color (White men and black women)’, where she met Marco.
She is said to have travelled from Kampala, the capital of Uganda, where she was at the time, to the Kenyan coastal city of Mombasa where she met her new foreign lover.
The girl was traumatized after the man who identified himself to her as Marco Ritz, threatened to post her naked photos online for the whole world to see.
She was found dead on her bed on September 12, with a bottle of poison beside her. Also beside her lifeless bode were cash amounting to sh3, 190 and her cell phone.
Police are investigating the incident amid reports that there is an increase in insidious crimes that have left thousands of Kenyans suffering in silence.
