Kenya tops the table on day 4 of the IAAF World Championships

Kenya leads the medal table on day four of the 15th bi- annual IAAF World Championships in Beijing, China. Ethiopia is currently in fifth position where as Eritrea is tied at 9th with Cuba, Spain and Colombia. Kenya’s world record holder David Rudisha added to the tally after winning the 800M mens finals  on Wednesday.

In the 1500M women, Ethiopian  world record holder Genzebe Dibaba took gold followed by Kenya’s Faith Chepngetich Kipyegon to take the silver.

Africa will be watching the bird’s nest in Beijing with keen interest when the world athletics championships action resumes tomorrow.
