South African woman creates ‘wonderbag’ to help poor women

Seven years ago, a South African entrepreneur Sarah Collins came up with the Wonderbag concept.
It is a simple idea which has helped thousands of women who face a daily battle against inflation and little or no electricity to still put food on the table.

She first came up with the wonderbag to help women living in rural areas and poor communities.
The bag is based on simple technology lined with chip foam it retains heat for hours. The bag has become popular globally for time and energy savings.
While Collins wants has grown her export market in Africa, she also feels there’s more she can do to address other challenges. It’s estimated that 1 billion people in Africa still don’t have access to clean drinking water.
“I have come up and found a product that was developed by somebody else, called the one drop and we have rebranded it and called it Wonderwater and there’s no chlorine in it. You literally put four drops of this into a litter of disgustingly dirty water and it is 99.9% safe from E coli, bacteria and all other water borne illnesses.” ~ Sarah Collins said

Collins firmly believes that women can play an important role in the advancement of an economy if given the opportunity.
Through her Wonderpreneur initiative, women will have the opportunity to generate incomes through sales of the wonder products.
