Survivors of the 1998 U.S. embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania are dismayed over the handling of their compensation claims by the U.S Department of Justice.

They want to know why they are not able to benefit from a portion of an $8.9 billion settlement with French bank BNP Paribas.

The bank pleaded guilty to a massive $190 billion criminal conspiracy by flouting U.S. sanctions, including dollar transfers to banks aiding the Al Queda network. Daniel Ryntjes reports.
