Read < 1 minute

Two ancient Egyptian statues are making a splash outside the Arab World Institute in Paris. The ancient pharaoh and his queen have gone on display there as part of an exhibition opening in September, which will showcase Egyptian artifacts found underwater. The two statues were discovered in 2002 in a sunken Egyptian city. They are usually housed at the Marine Museum of Alexandria. The statues weigh in at several tonnes.
