UN seeks financial assistance to complete anti-Ebola fight
Two new cases of Ebola have emerged from the same Liberian community where the virus re-surged the other week, bringing the total number of cases, in the new outbreak to 5.
This come as as a major fundraising effort is underway at the UN headquarters in New York. More than three billion dollars is needed to help West African countries combat the Ebola virus and rebuild their nations. In just a few hours, the UN Secretary-General and the presidents of Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone will convene a pledging conference to fund the fight. CCTV’s Liling Tan reports.
