Nigerians observe hygiene after a fresh outbreak in Liberia
Nigerian government has also issued an Ebola warning alert asking Nigerians to observe basic hygiene after a fresh outbreak of Ebola in Liberia. Health authorities say while the situation does not call for any panic in Nigeria, people must be cautious.
They argue the warning is to avoid a repeat of the the late Patrick Sawyer incident, the Liberian man who brought Ebola to Nigeria last year. Nigeria’s ministry of health now says it is reactivating its response mechanism and raising its alert level.
It’s also called on the 36 states to do the same and carry out more enlightenment campaign. It is also asking people to very vigilant and report any suspected case.
