Togolese PM discloses 22-member cabinet

Togolese Prime minister Selom Klassou disclosed on Sunday the lineup of his cabinet, which comprises of 22 members, including four women ministers.

 

The new cabinet, with 12 members re-appointed, is smaller than the previous lineup of 26 members, as some of portfolios have been merged, according to an official release.

The new government is marked by the establishment of the Ministry of Health and two ministry-delegates under the State Ministry of Economy and Finance, Planning and Forecasting.

Ten new ministries have entered the government, including the Ministry of Mining and Energy, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Social Action, Women Welfare and Literacy, Ministry of Communication, Culture, Youth, Sports and Civic Training.

Among others, the Ministry of Economy and Finance has merged with the Ministry of Planning and Forecasting.
