Egypt re-opens Tahrir Square’s metro station

Commuters in the Egyptian capital have a reason to celebrate, following the re-opening of  the Tahrir Square Metro station. The train station beneath  the iconic Tahrir Square was closed to the public two years ago, at the height of embattled President Mohamed Morsi’s removal from office, as security agencies were wary of his supporters staging a sit in at the underground station.
