Burkina Faso Triumph As Togo Cycling Tour Comes To an End

Seydou Bamogo from Burkina Faso has been celebrating his win of the 8th and final 48km stage of the 24th Cycling Tour of Togo.Bamogo won several stages of the competition and completed the final stage in the city of Lome in 1 hour, 15 minutes and seven seconds, retaining the yellow jersey he took away from the third stage.

Fellow Burkinabe, Yerbanga Salfo, ranked second followed by Ghanaian Samuel Anim. Burkina Faso also won the overall team general classification. France was second with DR Congo third. 53 other riders from seven countries were also competing in this year’s competition. Burkina Faso’s success surprised many who had predicted a win for favourites France
