Nigerian Football federation has renewed the contract of its national teams coach.
The two-year contract renewal reportedly comes after intense negotiation with the Nigerian Football Federation.
The federation is said to have set some targets for him to meet as precondition for the renewal of the contract.
Keshi, says he will pay more attention to players that are playing regularly for their clubs in his latest assignment.
He has also stated that he needs to get working immediately ahead of Nigeria’s qualifying campaign for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
The 53-year old who signed a two-year contract with the Nigeria Football Federation to continue as the Super Eagles coach admitted that there wasn’t much time to waste, adding that he would immediately get to work.
Keshi, won the Nations Cup as a player with Nigeria in 1994.
His last two home matches in Abuja and Akwa Ibom were marred by a negative reaction from the public and Keshi has pleaded for the home supporters to be positive during the 2017 Nations Cup qualifiers.
The Super Eagles have been drawn in one of the toughest-looking groups, alongside seven-time champions Egypt, Tanzania and Chad.
