Asia-Africa Summit: Ministers’ meeting sets agenda for upcoming events in Jakarta

Ministers from Asian and African countries have concluded a meeting in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta, ahead of a summit between nations from the two continents later this week

In addition to preparing for the summit, the gathering also discussed preparations for the commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the Asian-African Conference. The Asian-African summit will bring together 33 heads of state and government as well as representatives from 77 countries. Earlier, Indonesia’s foreign minister said she hoped the summit would “herald a new chapter” for Asian-African ties.
