Read < 1 minute

Countless Ethiopian long distance runners and marathon stars have started their journey to conquer the world at Ethiopia’s national stadium. They can be found training there as early as 7 am.

Ethiopia’s final team will be selected in the coming months. After sharing all the gold medals from this year’s IAAF World Cross Country Championships in Guiyang with their African rival Kenya, the two strongest middle and long distance running nations are set to compete again in Beijing this August. But Ethiopia knows the challenge will not only come from their Kenyan rivals but Britiains double Olympic and world champion Mo Farah.
