Reports from Somalia indicate that Kenyan fighter jets have made multiple air strikes on Al Shabaab military bases and targets, in retaliation to recent attacks in Kenya’s border town of Mandera.

Somali Islamist militants killed at least one man and wounded three others in the northern Kenyan town of Mandera on Sunday, the second deadly attack in the area in three days.

On Friday, four people were killed when the militants attacked a convoy in the Mandera area.

The region’s governor Ali Roba who was part of the convoy escaped unharmed.
