In a country such as South Sudan which is struggling to get back on its feet following decades of war, sports have not been a priority. For lesser-known and practiced sports such as kickboxing, this is even more so. Yet, for one kickboxing trainer, the transition from the comfort of Canada back to his home nation to train young South Sudanese was anything but the risk it looks like.
