Ebola: Disease Outpacing Mitigating Efforts

Health experts in the United States say the Ebola outbreak is unlikely to be eradicated unless a vaccine or other drug treatment is successfully developed. Up until now, the emphasis has been on halting the spread of Ebola by rapidly scaling up public health care facilities. But experts now say those efforts are unlikely to keep pace with the disease.
