Rwanda’s Inyange Industries

Rwanda has been in the middle of a milk production boom following the successful introduction of the “one cow per household” program in 2006 which saw an exponential increase in the cattle population in the country. At the centre of this boom is Inyange Industries, the largest local agro processing company. Following its success in the milk sector, the food processor has now set its sights on expanding its juice and other drinks portfolio, ostensibly to provide a thriving market for the country’s millions of fruit farmers. CCTV’S Peter Wakaba made a tour of the facility and now unpacks its strategy
