South Africa’s First Virtual School

South Africa’s Department of Basic Education, UNICEF and one of the world’s first social networks, Mxit, have pooled their resources to develop the first virtual school in South Africa and one of the first in the world.  The initiative is called Ukufunda, which is the Zulu term meaning ‘to learn’.
