Configured in three classes, a first for East Africa, these aircrafts offer unprecedented comfort in Business Class, where the 1x2x1 layout with the latest flatbed cocoon seats will no doubt impress passengers.

The new Premium Economy Class then also sets new standards with a 2x3x2 seat layout while Economy Class passengers still enjoy a 32 inch pitch in a 2x4x2 cabin layout.

The aircraft’s cabin is one of the most modern and appealing and is fitted with mood lighting in all three classes and latest generation video on demand in the entire cabin.

RwandAir is Africa’s fastest growing airline with only eleven aircrafts as well as a staff of almost 800 people.

The first of the Airbus 330 first landed in September 2016. The Airbus 330-200 was proudly nicknamed “Ubumwe” meaning unity. The new aircraft, worth about $250 million (about Rwf200 billion) brought the airline’s total fleet to nine.

The Airbus 330-300 nicknamed Umurage landed in December and was greeted in spectacular fashion with a water salute and excitement from spectators. This aircraft brought the airline’s total fleet to 11.

“The new aircraft is a manifestation of the good and visionary leadership of President Paul Kagame and RwandAir’s commitment to continue growing,” James Musoni, the Minister for Infrastructure  said, adding that Government will continue supporting the national carrier because of the economies of scale that come with a strong aviation industry.
