53 killed in Ghana grisly bus crash
At least 53 people have been killed in a road accident in Ghana involving a bus and a truck.
The bus collided head-on with an oncoming truck some 420km north of the capital, Accra, overnight, in what is said to be the West African country’s worst road crash in years.
The Metro Mass Transit coach was heading to the northern town of Tamale from the second largest city of Kumasi when it collided with a cargo truck loaded with boxes of tomatoes, Reuters news agency reports regional police chief Maxwell Atingane to say.
